We are finding that as it becomes less of a taboo people are starting to talk more about what they want when they die. They are sharing what they would like in their funeral service or celebration of life and want to make these wishes known. Knowing we have these written down can take away the stress and worry about 'what happens when we are gone'. It means we can focus on living and making the most of life. But it's not always easy talking about death and sometimes a bit of support to put what we want down on paper can help.

As a celebrant and natural burial ground owner, I often help those who are arranging a funeral service at a time of need, but I also help those who are planning ahead whether it's for the funeral ceremony, natural burial or making green funeral wishes known.

How it works - we would arrange a good time to meet or if you prefer a chat over video call. From this, I will put together a written account of the wishes you have for a funeral service or natural burial. This is a simple document that you can place with other funeral arrangements or that you can store on a computer. I provide both a paper and email copy.

As I specialise in green funeral practices and family-focused ceremonies this is also something I can help with and give advice for if you are not sure what is available and what your choices are.

When you are in need of support or are looking for ideas for a ceremony it can be helpful knowing when events are taking place or where to turn to for advice. This may be looking for advice or guidance when planning ahead. Finding ideas when planning a ceremony of love, farewell or celebration of life. It can also include ways you can get involved in events, green projects and groups that you may find helpful when grieving and learning to live without a loved one.
